About your teacher
Sally is a state registered physiotherapist and has been treating, teaching Pilates and personal training since 2002! With well over 24 years of teaching and clinical practice she will ensure you get the most out of the sessions.
Sally has been working as a Physiotherapist and Corrective Exercise Trainer within the health and fitness industry since 2002. It was her first career as a professional dancer, and subsequent career ending knee surgery, that lead her into the world of corrective exercise and rehab. Sally has been living and working in Sydney for the past 19 years before returning back to her home town of Nottingham in 2024. Her business Pro-align still continues to provide holistic treatment and rehab for dancers and improving movement, strength and independence for a more senior population. Sally has a strong passion for movement based treatment and empowering her clients with the knowledge to treat themselves and be independent in their bodies. She has been practicing Craniosacral Therapy since 2018 and this forms a large part of her holistic approach to both assessment and treatment.
Sally is dedicated to the improvement of her physiotherapy services and has an extensive list of continued education courses under her belt. Some of the highlights of her Continued Professional Development include:
- Training with LJ Lee (thorax and pelvis/hip)
- Cranio-sacral therapy L1 & 2, SER 1 & 2, BCB, CSIR, TBS1 & 2 (Upledger Inst.)
- AIM – Flow Motion Model, Certified Practitioner (Gary Ward)
- Visceral Level 1 & 2, NM1, LT1. (Barral Inst.)
- Functional rehab and chain reaction workshops with the faculty from the Gray Institute.
- IoM Level 1 & 2. ( Michol Dalcourt)
- CHEK Institute – Primal Movement and more. (Paul Chek)
- Training with Barb Hungerford (thorax, neck and pelvis)
- Training with Francine St George (core, TMJ, pre natal)
- Myofascial release (John Annan)
- Multiple courses on the neck, shoulder, and knee rehabilitation.
- Thai massage – Completed in Bangkok.
- Sports massage.
- Nutrition for exercise and sport.
Sally also presented on the teacher training programme for APPI (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) and is a ViPR master trainer/presenter. She currently presents for AiM (Anatomy in Motion).
She has created many strength training programmes for those in both Allied health and dance, based around resistance band and functional movement.
